What to do about half-baked Agile unsupported by a shift in the way of thinking? #Transformation without #change. Agile by numbers. Agile as seen on BigConsultancyTV with no change of #mindset. Agile as a #process. The Agile party in the #IT department and #Waterfall #BAU in the #business. Us and them. #WowNotWoT. - Fall in love with #Change - get #DevOps in the mind not the #tech.
Agile
How To Not Fail At #Agile 94% Of The Time. Why we should stop saying and thinking "transformation"- and how #DevOps is a much better term for the new #WaysOfWork and more importantly the new #WaysOfThinking in #knowledge #organizations who need to do #Agile if they are to use #technology fast and smart enough to delight their #customers.
Curiosity is fundamental for an #Agile, #growth-and-#people-obsessed mindset and the latter is the only way forward in the #knowledge economy. To become part of the #Digital elite, both #leadership and #developers (as well as anyone else at all, really!) need to want to create a new #Cultural paradigm and mould the #FutureOfWork through #DevOps in #Technology around happy #teams and #PsychologicalSafety in our fast-moving #VUCA world. This book will help! #PeopleNotTech #ProjectPhoenix #ProjectUnicorn #HumansFirst #HR #IT
How can anyone be #FitForVUCA in the absence of #ContinousLearning? Why aren't #knowledge #organizations designed with #curiosity at the very core? It's time #L&D became true #LearningAndDevelopment instead of a discreet #HR afterthought and drove the organization if we are to have any hope of #Innovation and #growth.
Being truly strong, open and flexible, having Emotional Intelligence while still applying all of the hard skills and obsessively ever learning - that's what's needed of anyone who works in Agile ways.
I typically end it by urging someone to try it for a month. Read a bit more – start at the manifesto and then transfer their team’s (or even their personal) action items into some form of a version of a board be it by sticking some post-its or starting a Trello board. Just for a month. Just to see. See if they’ll fall in love with rapid results they built together from the heart.
Chances are, the future belongs to organizations who will become Agile with the use of a mirror and a Google show-and-tell not a consultancy's overpriced strategy deck
n a fight where "Us" is the "Versus Silos" and "Them" is the "Safe, Happy and Open Agile Team" - which one are you willing to bet the survival of your company on?
Many argue that there is a substantial difference between "DevOps" and "Agile". I think it's semantics and here's why.
We talk about the future of work in the same way that we talk about flying cars - it's coming, it's inevitable and it's ubiquitous but the reality is that it's nothing but a SciFi concept meant to soothe our present anxiety and will remain consigned to a fantasy, unless we are willing to allow ourselves to open our minds and hearts and examine everything to find what really works in how we're working.
Of all the data points it seems that the clearest correlation between team behavior and creating and fostering Psychological Safety is whether or not team members feel they have been heard.
he Agile manifesto says it clearly: it's all about the people not the process. Despite that, most people that come near it will try to rely on process and overcomplicate the procedure and the terminology because keeping it fundamentally simple is a lot more complicated than it looks and requires a degree of emotional intelligence many people were not called to exercise in their work lives.
